Time Strategies
I really enjoy how flexible this class sounds like it can be. It's nice to know that we are able to create our own schedule but its also smart to make sure that the work wouldn't be done the last minute either. I am going to try to work hard and work ahead for this class so I don't fall behind.
Technology Tools
I feel like when it comes to the tools for us to succeed in the class there are quite a few. I am actually familiar with only a few of the tools and sites listed. I'm familiar with the LMC library website and bookmarking, plus, only a tiny bit in publishing a website but not a whole lot. I also have used google docs before.
Favorite Place
For me, my favorite place has to be Hawaii, It is just so peaceful and beautiful there. I love the beach and there is no better place for me than the gorgeous waters of Maui.
Growth Mindset
Growth mindset is an incredibly interesting topic about cognition and learning. I believe that when it comes to the growth mindset spectrum, I am somewhere in the middle. I feel like when it comes to challenge I tend to welcome it but also have trouble following through in certain things. It could be that the fact that I welcome challenge has to do with my background in mixed martial arts. My entire life I have been training and each day ends up being a challenge that surpasses the previous day. So, everyday I would walk into the academy and look forward to the challenge of fighting someone stronger than me but I would also find myself in a state of excitement of the thought of learning something new and fine tuning my skills. However, when it comes to school I feel like if something is easy for certain subjects, I lose all drive in the class. When it comes to anything else I tend to push for more challenge and more knowledge. In the past 14 years of schooling, I've noticed a few things when it comes to me as a learner. I find that if a subject isn't particularly interesting, I do not want to learn about it, I don't care what it is, I won't put in the effort. On the other hand, when I find myself in a class that I am very interested in, I choose to put in 110% of my energy in learning the subject and striving to excel and challenge myself on a daily basis to learn the new thing. When it comes to learning new things to me, I feel like its always difficult but I try not to let that fact that I may not improve get me down, I try to stay patient and continue to push through. The biggest challenge to learning something new to me has to relate to what I have said before, where if the subject doesn't appeal to my interests then I'm necessarily not going to try my hardest to learn it. I do think it will be interesting to learn a lot more about growth mindset because it really is fascinating. To be honest, the class I am most worried about this semester has to be this one, I don't understand why but I think it will be the hardest class. I hope that won't be the case but its too early to tell at this point.

An Introduction to a Future Animator!
Hello everyone! My name is Austin Karwowski and this is hopefully my last semester at LMC before I transfer. The best class I have ever taken has to be my AP studio art class in high school, personally, I love art and taking that class was the best decision I ever made because I was able to find out how much I truly loved art and how I wanted to pursue it as my career choice. Over break I actually went to Las Vegas for the first time being 21 and I have to say that it was a ton of fun! Currently my favorite T.V. show has to be Game of Thrones, I binged all 7 seasons last semester and fell in love with the show, to the point where I actually bought a ox horn mug with the stark logo on it, I cannot wait for the 8th season to come out in April, the hype is real! I love all types of music but right now my favorite band that I have been listening to for ever has got to be Queen. At the moment, I am a business administration for transfer major, but, I just applied and am waiting to hear back from San Jose State's animation and illustration program. Because art is my true passion, I decided that I didn't want to be a business major any more, I ultimately wanted to create something from nothing and that's why I chose to join the animation program at SJSU. Around the beginning of the month, my dog of 9-10 years got really sick and we had to put him down, it was hard on the whole family because we loved him so much. It was because we loved him so much that we thought we couldn't have another dog again, but recently, we felt like we needed another little pup and it now we are going through the process of adopting a little 10 week old husky mix!
