ReplyDeleteI read this short story, too! I found it kind of confusing and at the end, I was asking myself "What did I just read?" It seemed to me that the husband felt that death was coming and he was preparing himself and his family for it.
I agree with you that the way the story was written gives us the idea of a couple laying on the ground while looking at the stars. That was what I thought when I first read the story, so I reread it and understood that they were at the kitchen talking and drinking coffee lol
