ReplyDeleteI also read this story and listen to the explanation as well, it shows that the salve trade should be slave trade and about the life black people living in America. The phrase that the narrator uses about the ash, it depicts the idea of their skin color. This poem has a lot of things happening and the thoughts of the poem seem like jumping from one thought to another.
